  • Internet Safety Presentation on June 11th - The Plainville PTO is sponsoring an Internet Safety Presentation for grades K-6 and an evening presentation for parents at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11th held at the Jackson School Cafeteria.  Our speaker is Katie LeClerc Greer who will address the potential dangers of online communication (email, gaming sites, social networking, Instant Messaging), cyberbullying and many more, and most importantly, on how to keep our children safe online!  To attend the evening presentation for parents, you will be required to sign in to register.  If you are not a registered user of the Plainville school website, please create a user account before registering for the event.  Note: No one under 18 is allowed at the event.

  • Educational Budget Plan 2012-2013:  If you were unable to attend the Public Hearing on May 2nd, the budget plan is now available.  You may download in two formats: Budget Plan FY13 by Finance Committee Presentation [pdf] and Budget Report FY13 [pdf].  Please send your questions and comments to Mr. David Raiche regarding the budget.

  • Jackson School Field Day - Our Jackson School Field is held on Friday, June 1st.  Mrs. DelGrosso is looking for parent volunteers to assist with activities on that day. Please email her if you are able to volunteer for that day.

  • Litterless Lunch Day - Thank you to all the students at the B.H. Wood School who made Litterless Lunch Day on Friday, April 13th a success. Usually, our school produces between five and six bags of trash during lunch but on Litterless Lunch Day we reduced this amount to 1 3/4 bags of trash! Great job, everyone! Please make everyday a litterless lunch day!

  • International Reading Association Exemplary Reading Program Award - We are pleased to announce that the Anna Ware Jackson School has been selected as the Massachusetts winner of the 2011-2012 International Reading Association Exemplary Reading Program Award.  This award exemplifies all the hard work that everyone at the Jackson School puts in every day to make reading achievement a priority and to promote the joy of reading in our students. Congratulations!

  • Plainville Recreation Summer Program 2012 - The summer program will begin on the week of June 25th from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is open to Plainville students who will be entering Kindergarten to Sixth grade in September 2012.  For more information, please download the flyer [pdf].
