Welcome to the ELL website ! My name is Taylor Anderson and I am the  English Language Learner teacher here in Plainville. I am so excited to be working at both the Jackson School and the Wood School this year. Previously, I worked in a Special Education classroom in Milton, Massachusetts. I graduated from Roger Williams University in 2011 with a Bachelors in Elementary Education then went on to receive a Masters Degree in the Teaching of English as a Second Language from Framingham State University. My passion for working with English Language Learners began during my senior year at Roger Williams when I student taught in an ELL classroom. My overall goal is to strengthen English Language Learners' skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. I try to incorporate literature, graphic organizers, visuals, and questioning techniques into my small group instruction whenever possible. I believe it is important for students to gain proficiency in the English language so they are able to access the general curriculum and achieve to the best of their abilities.
