I am Tina Baker and I have the best job in the world! I have been a second-grade teacher at the Jackson School for 17 years. I graduated from Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in the Boston Public Schools as a paraprofessional in a Learning Adaptive Behavior classroom in Dorchester, MA. I then got my first teaching job at the Benjamin Banneker Charter School in Cambridge, MA. I taught at BBCS for three years where I taught 3rd, 4th and 1st grade.
I live in Franklin with my husband Dave, my son Marcus who is in 11th grade, my son Zack who is in 8th grade and our mini dachshund, Yogi. We spend a lot of time with our extended family. Like you, we are busy enjoying two children in basketball, baseball and Tae Kwon Do and all the running around that that brings.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of your child's journey. I will work each day to ensure that they are a part of a classroom community where they feel safe, cared about and have the opportunity to grow academically and socially. As a mom I know that we all want our children to like school and come home sharing success and smiles at the end of the school day.
Throughout the year, if you have questions or concerns about your child's academic or social/emotional needs, please know I am available to meet before or after school. Please reach out to me by phone at 508-699-1304 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can schedule a time to meet.
