The Plainville Public School District provides school environments that promote and protect children’s health, well being, and their ability to learn by supporting and teaching healthy eating and physical activity.

The District engages students, parents, teachers, food service professionals, health professionals, and other interested community members in developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing district-wide nutrition and physical activities.  They will strive to have highly qualified professionals continue to deliver the programs.

The District strives to provide nutrition education and physical education that fosters lifelong habits of healthy eating and physical activity for all students in every grade level.

The District aims to teach, encourage, and support healthy eating by students!

The Plainville Public Schools' Wellness Committee advises the Superintendent, School Committee, and Administration to help implement, monitor, review and evaluate school nutrition and physical activity policies and make periodic recommendations to the School Committee on revisions to said policies. For more information, please review the Wellness Policy.
