    Student data protection is governed by the following federal laws:

    CIPA - Children's Internet Protection Act 
    COPPA - Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
    FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
    HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

    Below is a list of digital resources that have been vetted for both educational alignment and student data privacy protection to support teaching and learning.  To request for approval of a new digital resource that requires the use of students' personal information, please complete this form. Note: Do review the list below before submitting your request.

    • Illuminate Ed - It allows teachers to create and administer assessments, generate reports and connect data in a central location. 
    • Discovery Education Streaming - A catalyst for student exploration, Streaming gives learners a whole world to explore, and urges them to take control of their learning with powerful tools to create and share their discoveries with others.  
    • World Book Online - Designed to help teachers and students to search for answers more quickly. World Book Online features thousands of articles, maps, pictures, sounds, and video that are delivered to you over the web. 
    • Seesaw - Builds an organized, digital portfolio of each student's learning and is accessible by teacher, student and parent.
    • Nearpod - It is an interactive presentation and assessment tool for classrooms.

    • Remind - It is a messaging platform that helps educators, students, parents and other users send quick, simple messages 
    • Code.org - Code.org® is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and providing opportunities to students to learn computer science. Code.org also organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign every year.  
    • Tynker - Provides interactive tools and resources for curriculum integration to guide students to coding mastery  
    • BreakoutEDU - It is an immersive game-learning platform that transforms learning and teaching in the classroom - great for team building activities or introducing a unit of study 
    • CodeSpark - Provides game-based coding activities for teachers and students
    • Polyup - It is a free computational thinking playground 
    • Quizizz - It is a free online assessment tool for teachers 
    • Kahoot - It is a game-based learning for students
    • Flipgrid - A social learning platform that allows educators to post questions so students may respond in a video. It is designed to promote open discussion between all students within your classroom. 
    • Mobymax - MobyMax creates an individualized learning plan for learners who require extra support, thus allowing them to progress as quickly as they can
    • Overdrive Sora-   Allows students to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from your school's library with Sora 
    • Read&Write for Google Chrome™ provides personalized support to make documents, web pages and common file types in Google Drive (including: Google Docs, PDF & ePub) more accessible. 
    • Book Creator - This tool is a simple way to create e-books!  Add text, pictures, video and music, and even record your own voice!
