• Welcome  to Mrs. Kubinski's Kindergarten

    Boy working hard

I love being a part of the Jackson School Community.  I have worked here for 20 years and taught Preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade.  My favorite thing about the Jackson School are the amazing teachers I am priviledged to work with and the many friends I have made.  In Kindergarten, I especially love see students begin reading and transition from writing a letter, to a word, to a sentence and finally to a story.  It is such an exciting time and incredibly gratifying.

At home I have twin 16 year old daughters and a 14 year old son.  They are all soccer enthusiasts and play lot's of soccer. On the weekends I am typically at a soccer game ...or five!

I have a dog, Blue.  He is an active Australian Shepherd and only a year old.  I refer to him often during the day as many of his "talents" are quite funny and make for great story starters.

My classroom philosophy is positive, structured with clear expectations, upbeat and fun.  We love to sing and dance but also buckle down at work time.  I have strong behavior management in the classroom and only the highest expectations for all of my students.

Mrs. Correia is the classroom para.   She and I are like peanut butter and jelly.  We read each other's mind and have very similar classroom philosophies.

Please feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions, concerns and growth you see in your children.

Please look for the SeeSaw parent permission form coming home soon.  This is a great website where I will be able to post pictures and communication daily.  You can create an account and login to see what your child has been doing for the day.
