Mrs. Laura Schoonmaker
This is my thirteenth year teaching in Plainville, my first twelve where in 3rd grade. I substituted for several years prior to receiving my masters in Elementary Education from Bridgewater. I have my bachelors in Mathematics. I have taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade math and science in New York state, worked as a software engineer and technical trainer at a software company, been a full-time mom, and now I've come full circle back to teaching kids. I'm very excited to be working in 4th grade this year!
I have 2 daughters that came through the Plainville School system. My oldest graduated from Syracuse University this year and my youngest is a junior at Clarkson University. My husband is a software engineer in Waltham.
