• "Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are."

    ~Mason Cooley~

Welcome all to the world of remote instruction! As the quote above says, reading allows us to travel anywhere while staying home. So far, since we've been apart, I have traveled to:

Prince Edward Island, Canada, through Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

Florida, through Squirm by Carl Hiaasen

London, England, through Mary Poppins by P L Travers

Where have you traveled? Please email me at: slareau@plainville.k12.ma.us and let me know!

As always here's a short video on a topic you may know nothing about, but it got me to thinking...Would I rather have claws? Or nails?

As we all are on our devices more for the next few weeks. We all need to find a balance. Watch the short video below and then think about which media and non-media choices help you feel healthy and balanced. Create, yourself a chart to plan out your perfect day. For each activity choice, fill out the "What is the activity," "When do I do the activity," and "How much time am I spending on the activity?" If you would like share this information with me through a Microsoft Word Document or email me (slareau@plainville.k12.ma.us) I would enjoy seeing what you found out about yourself and your media balance.

Check back here next week for more interesting activities.

Keep reading, and know I do miss each and every one of you,

    Mrs. Lareau
