The Plainville Public Schools are pleased to announce the dedication of the Jackson School courtyard playground in honor of Malia Jusczyk. Malia's family has donated two hand-carved "friendship benches" to the school district, with one proudly displayed on the Jackson courtyard playground and the other shining brightly along the Wood School playing field. Each bench, along with a free-standing sign at the Jackson playground, bears a message of kindness and Malia's tagline phrase of "I.Got.This."The dedication ceremony will be held on the Jackson School courtyard playground on May 27th at 3:45 with a rain date of June 2. Once that concludes, anyone who wishes can walk to the Wood School playground to see the bench that is alongside the field.We welcome all community members in recognition of Malia, her family, and the values of belonging, perseverance, courage, and friendship that Malia exemplified, and that we strive for in our schools each day.
