I received my bachelor of science degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999. I attended Lesley University to obtain my Master's degree in literacy.

This is my TWELFTH year working at Jackson Elementary. I truly love this school and consider myself lucky to be a part of this fantastic system.

This year I am looking forward to looping with my previous Kindergarten class into first grade. I spent the first five years of my career in first grade and was promoted for a year to second grade. This time in second grade gave me wonderful insight as to where my students will be going academically. I feel this experience greatly enhanced my first grade teaching. It is my goal that EVERY student leaves my classroom with a love of learning. I strive to meet the needs of my diverse learners. I LOVE LOVE LOVE visits from my former students!

When I'm not teaching I enjoy running, visiting Maine, and spending time with my husband and brother. I can be seen frequenting Dunkin Donuts, Bagels and Cream (they make the BEST coffee), Target, and Homegoods. However, these places can be somewhat dangerous to me, so I do try to limit my time there.

My love for teaching was initiated by my first grade teacher Mrs. Lambert.
